Studio Owner and Instructor
I opened this studio in January 2017, but my pole journey began long before that around 2010 when a former PT trainer convinced me to try pole as well, coming from classical ballet background the dance side of this seemed appealing, I was instantly hooked! I was very fortunate to have Kristy Sellars our amazing Franchisor as my instructor! Pole has quite literally changed my life. I was very self conscious about my appearance and very shy. Pole has not only taught me to love and accept the person I am but has also made me emotionally and physically strong! I have built so many wonderful friendships through pole that will now be everlasting. As well as pole I have a great love for aerials. This has helped me build amazing strength and is a wonderful compliment to pole! PhysiPole is my home away from home, it's the place where everyone is accepted and you will be able to learn amazing skills and achieve things you never thought possible. I'm so excited to have you join us and make some wonderful new friends and life memories.
Vanessa has been doing pole for 5 years and started instructing pole in 2017 then later on that year also started teaching mixed aerials, she has a love for all apparatuses though a secret favourite for pole! When Vanessa started pole she instantly fell in love with it, she enjoyed how much it strengthened and challenged her and improved her flexibility and coordination which strived her to try more which then brought her to trying aerials which was a whole different ball game but still just as great. She has a love for all things to do with pole & aerials from the strength the flexy moves, watching, performing and creating.
Alyssa started pole dancing in 2014 and aerials in 2015. Growing up she did gymnastics for 10 years and performed in various sections of eisteddfods for 13 years. She recently graduated from CQUniversity with a Bachelor of Medical Science (Pathology) with Distinction. In her spare time she likes to watch Marvel movies and listen to country music. Her favourite colour is yellow and her favourite tricks in both pole and aerials are flexibility tricks, especially the spatchcock on pole. Her favourite part of being an instructor is sharing her love and passion for pole & aerials with her students and helping them achieve their pole goals.
Mary-Anne entered the world of pole fitness and mixed aerials in 2017, instantly falling in love with both apparatuses. She loves the new challenges and moves that each term brings. After performing her very first solo pole routine at our Showcase for Christmas in 2017, to her surprise, she fell in love with the stage which opened her up to the world of competition with several in sight for the future. Along with pole, Mary-Anne loves all things strength in which she started teaching Aerial Strength at the beginning of 2018. She loves meeting new people and has a passion for helping others achieve their personal goals.
Bridget was persuaded to try aerials in 2017 with one of her friends and wouldn’t be without it now! Shortly after beginning aerials, she decided to try pole and has since fallen in love with all apparatus’s the more she learns! She recently graduated from CQ University with a Bachelor of Science (Ecology and Conservation Biology) with a Distinction and is about to begin studying her honours in Ecological sciences. In her spare time, if she’s not at the studio practicing, she’ll be at the gym, snuggled up reading a book or out kayaking! She loves improving her strength and flexibility through the classes at the studio. Helping others around her achieve their goals and grow their confidence is a passion as well as sharing her love for all things aerials and pole with everyone she meets.
Erin began pole and mixed aerials in 2017. She was looking for a fun form of exercise and what she found was a new passion. She was surprised at how quickly pole and aerials helped her gain strength and was amazed at how much progress could be made in a short term. She enjoys the challenges of learning new skills each week and the excitement of achieving goals and watching fellow PhysiPolers achieve theirs too. Erin loves teaching pole and finds it very rewarding to watch students grow in strength, ability and confidence. Her favourite aspects of teaching and learning at PhysiPole is the supportive environment and inspirational people. Erin looks forward to welcoming new beginner students of all ages and fitness backgrounds and introducing them to pole fitness and the social and physical benefits it brings.
