Make Up Classes

If you cancel a class with at least 8 hours notice, the class will be credited back to your original method of payment.
For membership holders, the credit will remain available on your account for as long as your membership remains active.

Make-up classes may be booked within your current billing cycle, into any class of the same level or lower, subject to availability. We highly recommend in a lower class focusing on your non-dominant side, dead lifting skills, and refining technique. You can revise the skills from your level in a lower class, and the instructor may be able to assist dependant on their instructing level.

If less than 8 hours’ notice is given, or in the event of a no-show, the class will be forfeited and no credit or refund will be issued.

Frequently Asked Questions

What do I bring to class?

Water bottle

Small gym towel

High heels and/or runners

Hand grips to avoid sweaty palms for
pole classes (available to purchase from the studio)

Lots of energy!! (If you need a boost, we also sell Protein Snacks at the studio!)

Please remove all jewellery before coming into class as you may damage our equipment and your jewellery. For pole class ensure you do not apply moisturiser or lotion on the same day as your class as this will make your skin slippery and unable to stick to the pole.

Can I start once a term has already commenced?

Yes. We no longer run on set “terms”, our timetable runs continuously so you can join at any time! Our syllabus is designed to allow students to start whenever suits them and progress at their own pace following our trick lists. Simply book via the app and start from whichever week works best for you.

Which class do I start in?
If you have never tried the type of course class you are signing up for then you will enrol in a beginner class to start your aerials journey. If you have some experience at other studios and think you may be above beginner level book a private so we can access your capability and place you in the correct level. Refer to the Services page for how to book a private.
Do I have to already be fit to start?
Not at all! Our friendly instructors are here to get you to work within your current fitness capabilities and slowly build this up when needed to keep you challenged and progressing. Our beginner level skills are designed for you to have no fitness capabilities and build this each week with the skills and strength taught.
How early should I arrive for my first class?
Please try to get to the studio 10 minutes early to receive a studio tour, famiarlise yourself with where the studio is and meet some of your fellow classmates while waiting for your class. Feel free to ask our reception staff any questions you may have, they will ensure your account has been created correctly and your payments are processed if not done so already through our app.
When are payments due and can I choose my membership start date?

Payment is due at the time of purchase. Memberships are billed weekly via your saved payment method and have a minimum 10-week commitment.
If you’d like your membership to start later, you can select a future start date at checkout. Your first week is paid upfront, and your next payment will be due in week two, based on the start date you choose. The date you select as your start date will also be the day your weekly payments are processed, so please choose a date that works for you and is at least one day before the first class you plan to attend. For the easiest option, we recommend selecting Saturday or Sunday as your start date. This helps ensure payments have processed before attending and makes booking make-up classes or additional sessions easier.

Class packs, private lessons, functions, and annual memberships must be paid in full before attending.

Can a friend watch the class?
To keep our space safe and secure for our physifam we do not allow people to watch the class, if you want a friend to see a class we suggest they enrol in for a trial so they can give it a go themselves. We do host showcases where you can show off your skills in a routine and invite all your friends and family to watch.
What course is easiest to start with?
Picking what course class you want to start with can be the hardest decision! They are all fun and give you all great benefits and it is generally a personal preference on which one people find the easiest to start with. Our suggestions from past experience with aerials is Hammock and for pole Static are the ones people find the quickest achievements with the skills taught in beginner.
How many classes per week should I do?

Our most popular membership option is our silver membership (2 classes per week). This is frequent enough to build strength and confidence, and it’s where many people begin to see increased results.

Some students prefer training more often, which is why we offer unlimited memberships at all of our locations. When training more frequently we recommend you balance your week with your regular levelled classes in addition to a mix of strength, stretch, flow, and practice sessions rather than pushing intensity every day.

We also offer memberships starting from 1 class per week. Consistency at any level is always better than overcommitting and burning out. The best schedule is one that feels sustainable and works for your body.

Pole
What is the difference between Spin and Static?
Spin pole is where the pole spins around and you hold shapes while you spin around, static classes are where the pole is stationary and you create your spin and movement around the pole. Both are great to build strength, coordination and self confidence and with our level system picking either will give you the start and skills to see your fitness journey progress. If you get dizzy easily start with static pole first so you do not need to worry about that factor 😊
Do I need to do Static first before starting Spin Pole?
No it is up to you which one you start with, you will notice a cross over of skills from one to the other but we teach you all the steps you need to nail the skills without having any experience in one or the other
Do I have to wear shorts?
When you first start classes you will be able to complete the skills without shorts, we want you to feel comfortable! The reason we end up wearing shorts is to have skin contact with the pole on your thighs to provide you gripping points when completing sit positions on the pole, you can complete these without shorts but you will need to rely on your upper body strength more. You can purchase sticky/grippy leggings which are designed to provide you grip while keeping a pair of leggings on, these are a great option if you are hesitant on shorts.
Do I have to wear heels? What type of heels?
Heels are optional in pole classes, they are a bit of fun, make you feel self-confident, and who doesn’t want to say I did my workout in heels? Any heel that stays on your foot (ideally strapped to avoid ankle rolls) and is of a smooth shiny finish are fine to start you on your heel journey, avoid any with large details that may be damaged by the pole, you will then progress to purchasing a pair of Pole designed heels which have different inches platforms, start off smaller like a 6 or 7 inch if you are not confident and you will progress to an 8 inch heel in no time. Your local studio will have some stock of heels for you to purchase and try on and we can order in any design and style you after from our supplier and we price beat so make sure to talk to our friendly staff today if you are interested in a pair of heels. PhysiPole Studios also have an affiliate link to Sky High Heels which will save you 10% off so make sure to ask your local studio for their discount code before ordering.
AERIALS
Which aerial apparatus is the best to start with?
Whichever aerial apparatus you decide to start with is up to you! Most of our students find dynamic hammock the easiest, then hoop where most studios have adjustable rigging so we can put it nice and low for you to sit into the hoop, and then silks involves wrapping and standing on one leg so needing a little bit of balance to start with.
