That’s a wrap on another epic Mr Pole Dance World!

The original, male-only pole dancing competition returned to Sydney on June 21, bringing a plethora of strength and talent to the Factory Theatre Stage. There was plenty of creativity on show, from the fun and

cheeky to dark and haunting.

PhysiPole’s own Brady Stevens from Werribee and Seth Sladen from Albury were among a stellar lineup of 18 performers who were chosen from scores of applicants all over the world.

Both put on epic shows that highlighted their strengths, style and creativity.

Brady’s captivating portrayal of an army soldier struggling with post-traumatic stress disorder told the story of a serviceman dealing with the harsh realities of war and combat, and was met with emotional responses from the audience.

Seth put this circus skills on show during his polished routine with a sizzling finish, literally, with his performance made all the more impressive by the fact he’s only been poling for four months!

Both men did PhysiPole proud and were cheered on by their adoring PhysiFams, both at the theatre and from those at home watching the live stream.

The title of Mr Pole Dance 2018 was ultimately taken out by Jay De Swan, all the way from Hong Kong, who busted an array of showstopping tricks including a rainbow marchenko half way through the routine.

Mr Pole alum Adam Lin, of Hanger 66, took out first runner up for his out-of-this-world, comedic space routine, complete with cameo from none other than pole icon Chilli Rox.

Also returning to the Mr Pole stage was Blue Phoenix, who got his creepy on for a hella sexy witchdoctor routine that bagged him the second runner up sash.

There were three Sponsor’s Choice awards this year, with the Vigorous Array award going to Ferios, the Shoe Me award going to Mucci and Chilli Rox’s Showboy Choice going to Charlie Love.

Congratulations to all the performers, it was an epic showdown and we can’t wait to see what the guys bring to the stage next year!
