Studio Owner & Instructor
Jem is the studio owner of PhysiPole Somerton Park. Jem’s pole journey started in late 2010 after seeing her best friend gain so much strength from just one term.
She had no dance or gymnastics background and felt very out of her depth in the beginning, but before she knew it, she was addicted.
Jem then began aerial hoop and silks in 2013/2014 and absolutely loves being in the air. Jem began competing in 2014. She has competed in several state and national, pole and aerial competitions over the years and now also loves putting her knowledge and energy into coaching her students to big stages.
The Somerton Park studio opened in January 2019 with an overwhelming response. The ‘Somers’ studio hit 100 students in its first term of opening and has developed an incredible and supportive PhysiFam in such a short amount of time.
“Teaching and coaching is what absolutely makes my heart soar and I am so incredibly happy to say that I am living my dream job.
When I was a baby poler, I was never the best or the first one to get the trick in my class, but after committing to multiple practice sessions a week I noticed my abilities skyrocket.
I became stronger, more flexible, and focused more on what my body could do, rather than what it looked like.
I could not imagine my life now without continually challenging myself and having a ball at the same time. I am 100% committed and dedicated to our brand and am looking forward to seeing where the next 10 years will take us!”
