Studio Owner
Bonnie is the studio owner of PhysiPole Studios Warrnambool. Bonnie joined PhysiPole in 2015 at the age of thirteen and immediately fell in love with the sport. As Bonnie progressed through the levels in aerials, she began performing in competitions with her doubles partner Mollie. Performing helped Bonnie gain confidence and unlock her deep passion for aerials.
In 2016, Bonnie began learning pole and once again, as she progressed through the levels, she began competing to further challenge herself in the sport. She has competed in several state and national pole and aerial competitions over the years. One of her most significant achievements was the 2018 Miss Lyra Showtime Winner – Victorian Heats and 2018 IGNITE Doubles Finalist Winners as ‘Bonnie & Mollie’.
Alongside attending PhysiPole, Bonnie also began weight training at thirteen years old. Growing up, Bonnie’s mum was a personal trainer and competed in bodybuilding shows, so this is something Bonnie also aspired to do. In 2018 and 2019, Bonnie stepped on the ICN Fitness stage, competing as the youngest bikini model in the federation. One of her most significant achievements was winning the 2019 ICN Miss Universe Junior Bikini Title in Italy.
In 2018, Bonnie began as an instructor at PhysiPole Studios Warrnambool, teaching static pole, aerial hoop and silk. Getting the opportunity to share her love and passion with all of her students was an honour, but little did she know it was the beginning of her journey to becoming a studio owner.
In addition to being an instructor, Bonnie began her role as a receptionist in 2019 and was promoted to Head of Reception later that year. Bonnie continued to do both roles throughout 2019 whilst also completing Year 12.
In 2020, Bonnie planned to work at the studio in her gap year and then move to Queensland to study Paramedicine the year after. Due to the COVID-19 Pandemic, Bonnie’s plans were interrupted, which meant that she would stay in Warrnambool for what she thought would be one extra year. At the end of 2020, Bonnie got offered the role of Studio Manager, which she excitedly accepted. This role gave Bonnie an insight into what it would be like to own a studio which helped prepare her for when Jem (the previous studio owner) approached Bonnie early in 2021 to ask her if she wanted to take over PhysiPole Studios Warrnambool.
Bonnie has now been the studio owner of PhysiPole Studios Warrnambool since July 2021 and is the youngest PhysiPole Franchisee to join the Franchise, being only twenty years old at the time of joining.
It is fair to say Bonnie has grown up within the studio, and she is so grateful for the opportunities PhysiPole has provided her. She loves sharing her passion for this sport and creating a supportive environment where everyone is welcome. PhysiPole has had an enormous impact on Bonnie’s life, motivating her to inspire all of her students and staff to reach their highest potential.
